The Trailhead tab welcomes you with carved wooden counters that display your total hikes logged and total kilometers recorded so you can see your progress at a glance. A quick-action button on that same screen jumps you directly into the New Trip form without any extra steps. On the New Trip tab you simply enter the trail name, hike date, distance in kilometers, and an optional trail condition note about mud, snow, wind, or visibility. Every entry you create stays right on your device, with no accounts, no cloud syncing, and nothing leaving your pocket. The Logbook tab lists all your hike logs in order of date, giving you a clean timeline of where you have been. From there you can search for a specific trail by name, or edit and delete any record with a couple of taps. The Field Notes tab collects only the logs where you added a condition observation, so you can quickly review trail reports before heading out again. Each hike log card carries a colored stripe that reflects the distance range, shifting from green under five kilometers to amber for mid-range treks and red for anything over fifteen kilometers. A small bird footprint stamp marks every saved slip instead of an ordinary checkbox, adding a subtle natural detail to your entries. Because everything is stored locally, Waypost works reliably when your phone has no signal, deep in the backcountry or on a remote ridgeline. The bottom navigation behaves like four painted trail blazes that let you move instantly between Trailhead, Logbook, New Trip, and Field Notes. There are no maps, no GPS tracking, no notifications, and no social feeds to pull you out of the moment. Waypost gives day hikers, weekend backpackers, and casual walkers a lightweight, offline-first journal that respects the simplicity of a real trail log.
