Pinebound captures the spirit of a wooden trailhead register, giving you a simple place to record every day hike and outdoor trip you complete. Think of it as your personal trail diary, kept entirely on your device with no accounts or cloud syncing required. The experience opens to a carved wood Dashboard that immediately shows your total hikes and total kilometers walked, displayed as large carved digits alongside small trail blazes. Right below, a miniature wooden trail sign displays your most recent hike, and tapping it brings you straight to the Logbook. The Logbook presents your hiking history in reverse chronological order, with each entry styled like a signed log line complete with a red date stamp and pencil-script distance. To add a new hike, you switch to the Log Hike tab, where a single-page form lets you enter the trail name, pick a date, type the distance in kilometers, and select a difficulty level using wooden toggle blocks for Easy, Moderate, or Difficult. Pressing the boot print button saves your hike and plays a brief stamp animation that slips a new trail permit under the clip. Once logged, your hikes appear in the All Hikes tab as a stack of slightly askew trail permit cards, each with a perforated stub edge and a faint topo line pattern. Every card carries a tiny wax seal badge—green for Easy, amber for Moderate, red for Difficult—so you can spot the challenge level at a glance. Deleting an entry is effortless: simply swipe left on any permit card in the All Hikes list, and the record is removed immediately. Because everything is stored locally, your trail log stays private and available even when you are far from cell service. Pinebound is purposefully minimal: there are no maps, no notifications, no calendar sync, and no social sharing—just a focused tool for recording your outdoor journeys.
