Timberline is a lightweight offline trail journal for day hikers who want to keep a practical record of local walks, distances, and trail conditions. The app is organized around four clear tabs: Trailhead, Logbook, Add Hike, and Conditions. Each hike log stores the trail name, hike date, distance in kilometers, and a short trail condition note such as dry, muddy, or overgrown. From the Trailhead tab you can see your total hikes, total distance covered, a quick-action button to start a new entry, and the three most recent hike cards. The Logbook gives you a chronological and searchable list of every saved hike, with each row showing the trail name, date, distance, and a colored condition stripe. You can create a new entry from the Add Hike tab using a simple form, and saving the entry stores the information locally before switching you back to your updated Logbook. Existing entries can also be opened, edited, or deleted whenever your plans or notes need a correction. The Conditions tab groups your hike logs by trail conditions into simple sections with count tags and trail names, so you can quickly see which routes are currently dry, muddy, or overgrown. All hike logs are kept on your device, so your trail memory remains available without an account or an internet connection. The visual style uses weatherproof route cards, carabiner details, and a wooden trailhead signboard feel that keeps the experience clean and outdoor-focused. Because the app is intentionally simple, there are no maps, notifications, payments, or cloud sync to distract you from recording a completed hike. Weekend day hikers, trail runners, families, and dog walkers can use it to build a short personal log of familiar local routes. Timberline is best suited for lightweight record keeping that helps you remember what you walked, how far you went, and what the trail felt like that day. With local storage and a straightforward create, read, update, and delete workflow, the app keeps your hiking history organized and easy to review after each outing.
