Each hike entry is saved as a stamped aluminum trail tag hanging from a wooden trailhead signpost, giving your logbook a distinctive outdoor feel. The Trailhead tab opens to a carved-wood dashboard showing total hikes, total kilometers, and hikes logged this month, followed by your most recent trail tag for a quick glance at your latest adventure. A prominent New Hike button on the Trailhead lets you start recording immediately without searching through menus. In the New Hike tab, you fill in the trail name, hike date, distance in kilometers, and difficulty level, then save to add a new trail tag to your collection. The Logbook tab lists all of your hike entries as individual aluminum tags, each stamped with the trail name, date, distance, and a colored difficulty band that is green for easy, orange for moderate, and red for hard. If you need to correct a record or remove an old entry, you can edit or delete any hike directly from the logbook. The Search tab provides a focused trail name search so you can quickly filter your entries and locate a specific hike without scrolling through the full list. When no matching entries are found, Search shows a quiet signpost with no tags, keeping the experience clear and simple. All hike data is stored locally on your device, so your trail history stays available offline and you never need to create an account or rely on a mobile signal. Waymarker keeps the workflow intentionally basic and practical for day hikers, weekend backpackers, and trail runners who want to track mileage and remember the trails they have completed. Because the app focuses only on core logging, it stays fast and easy to use at the trailhead, in camp, or back at home. Your completed hikes appear with a small circular summit stamp to celebrate the outing without turning the journal into a complicated analytics tool.
