Safe Highlighter & Notes

By: KJC
Toggle paragraph highlighting on the current page and save a short, privacy-respecting note tied to the site's origin.

Features & Capabilities

Toggle paragraph highlighting on the current page and save a short, privacy-respecting note tied to the site's origin. No remote code is loaded and the extension asks only for the minimal permissions needed to work: storage for saving notes and activeTab to inject the highlight script on demand. Use the popup to toggle highlights and to save or clear a note for the current site. The options page lists any saved notes and lets you clear them.

Longer description: This extension provides a simple, privacy-first utility: you can highlight all <p> elements on the active page with a single click and store a short note scoped to the origin (so notes are grouped per site). The UI uses external script files (no inline scripts or inline event handlers). The content script only injects a small style element to highlight paragraphs and removes it on a second toggle. Stored notes are short strings saved in browser.storage.local. The design is intentionally minimal to make review straightforward and to keep the security surface small.
