Features & Capabilities

Select text on any webpage and save it locally in the extension popup for quick review. Saved highlights include the page title, URL, timestamp, and chosen highlight color. No remote servers are used; all data remains in your browser. The extension uses only minimal permissions, stores highlights in browser storage, and lets you remove or clear saved highlights.

Highlight Saver adds a lightweight way to mark and collect useful text while you browse. Use the popup to highlight the current selection on the active tab. The options page lets you choose your preferred highlight color. Saved items show the originating page and time so you can return to the context where you found them.

Is Highlight Saver Safe?

Risk impact
Risk impact measures the level of extra permissions an extension has access to. A low risk impact extension cannot do much harms, whereas a high risk impact extension can do a lot of damage like stealing your password, bypassing your security settings, and accessing your personal data. High risk impact extensions are not necessarily malicious. However, if they do turn malicious, they can be very harmful.

Highlight Saver does not require any sensitive permissions.
