Highlight & Save Firefox

Highlight & Save

By: TG88
Highlight selected text on any page and save it locally for quick reference.

Features & Capabilities

This add-on lets you quickly highlight selected text on any webpage and save snippets you want to come back to later. It’s designed to be fast, lightweight, and private. After choosing a highlight color in Options, you can select text, then use the popup to highlight it or save it with the page title, URL, and timestamp. Your saved snippets stay in your browser’s local storage, so nothing leaves your device. The extension requests only the permissions it needs: activeTab to act on the current page after you click, and storage to remember your color and saved items. There are no inline scripts, no remote code, and no unsafe DOM operations.

Use cases include research, study notes, quick bookmarking of quotes, or marking sections you want to revisit. Because highlights are applied directly in the page, they remain visible as you read and can be tailored with your preferred color. Saved snippets give you a compact history of what mattered most without needing to manage long bookmarks or external tools.
