Page Highlighter Firefox

Page Highlighter

By: BIN88
Page Highlighter highlights paragraph text on the current web page with a single click.

Features & Capabilities

Page Highlighter highlights paragraph text on the current web page with a single click. It requests only activeTab and storage permissions, contains no remote code, uses no inline scripts, and follows AMO content-security rules.

Page Highlighter is a lightweight, privacy-first utility that visually highlights <p> elements on the active tab so you can quickly scan or mark paragraphs while reading. Use the toolbar button to toggle highlighting on the currently active page. The options page allows you to choose your preferred highlight color; that preference is stored locally in the browser's storage.

The extension is self-contained, does not transmit text or pages to any server, and does not fetch or execute remote JavaScript. It is intended for productivity / reading workflows and provides an unobtrusive way to emphasize page paragraphs.

Is Page Highlighter Safe?

Risk impact
Risk impact measures the level of extra permissions an extension has access to. A low risk impact extension cannot do much harms, whereas a high risk impact extension can do a lot of damage like stealing your password, bypassing your security settings, and accessing your personal data. High risk impact extensions are not necessarily malicious. However, if they do turn malicious, they can be very harmful.

Page Highlighter does not require any sensitive permissions.
