Worry Watch: Anxiety & Mood

Mental Health Tracker, Journal

Features & Capabilities

Worry Watch is a cognitive science–based mental health app that helps you manage anxiety and mood with four guided pillars: Guided Anxiety Journaling, Guided Coping Techniques, Guided Mood Check-Ins, and Guided Positive Reinforcements. It follows the Record > Reason > Respond > Reflect flow to capture thoughts, identify triggers, take action, and reflect on outcomes.

Key features include structured anxiety journaling, evidence-based coping techniques (deep breathing, 5-4-3-2-1 grounding, guided imagery, mindfulness), mood tracking with triggers and energy insights, and wind-down shortcuts for end-of-day routines. The app emphasizes privacy: on-device data, iCloud backup, offline use, Face/Touch ID protection, and no required signups. Premium unlocks unlimited journaling, enhanced mood and pattern analytics, reminders, and secure data backups.

I am all for covering the costs of development and paying fair wages. That said - if you wanted to test drive this - you get 1 note. You get 1 shot. Not very useful and there is no way to test drive it. So deleting. And going to try another.

I like the concept of this app, it was useful for my anxiety and OCD, however i’m not impressed with the developers decision to opt for a subscription model. i was informed that i had exceeded my monthly limit for free entries, it doesn’t specify what the monthly limit is but i only used it maybe twice a week, so it seems odd that i’ve supposedly already surpassed the limit. i was then shown an ad to purchase a subscription to be able to keep using the app. a one time payment of $11.99 seems somewhat excessive but could be reasonable, wanting to lock me into a subscription at $11.99 a year is a little absurd. i’m sick of these greedy subscription models, and of apps that advertise themselves as “free” on the app store only to become impossible to use without making a purchase. why can’t you guys just show ads and make at least the most basic functionalities of the app usable for free, like app developers used to do?

I really see how effective this app is, except for the recorded mechanical voice for meditations, breathing and coping. A real voice would make it so much better. The current voice makes that portion of the app unusable to me.
