Features & Capabilities

Welcome to RunReady! Your daily Readiness Score and training recommendation. Powered entirely by your Apple Watch data.

"Should I push it today or take it easy?" Every runner with an Apple Watch has asked this. Your watch tracked your HRV, heart rate, and sleep all night. But in the morning? Silence. No answer. Just raw numbers.

RunReady is the running readiness score your Apple Watch should have had from day one.

Open the app, see your score, get a clear recommendation: "Easy Z2 run, 40–60 min, HR 137–149." Or: "Rest day. HRV dropped 20% overnight." That's it. No 15 dashboards. No guessing. One score, one plan.

YOUR ZONES ARE PROBABLY WRONG

Apple calculates your HR zones with 220 minus your age. That formula has no scientific basis for individual runners. The difference? Up to 20 BPM. Your "Zone 2" might actually be Zone 3 meaning every easy run has been too hard.

RunReady uses the Karvonen method with your actual max HR from real workouts and your true resting HR measured during sleep. Your Zone 2 finally means YOUR Zone 2.

NOT ANOTHER GENERIC RECOVERY SCORE

Most readiness apps give you a number and leave you guessing. RunReady tells you what to RUN: • Run type: Easy, Tempo, Intervals, Long Run, or Rest • Duration and pace range • Target HR zone in BPM • What's holding you back: "Sleep 15% below your baseline. Reduce volume"

The score respects your weekly training plan. Quality sessions like tempo or intervals are only suggested when your body can actually handle them.

YOUR DATA. YOUR BASELINE. NO BLACK BOX.

Four metrics, each compared to your personal 30-day average: • HRV: nervous system recovery • Resting HR: cardiovascular stress • Training Load: how hard you pushed vs. your norm • Sleep: duration vs. your personal pattern

A score of 80 doesn't mean you're at 80% of some population benchmark. It means YOU are at 80% of YOUR recovery.

EVERY RUN, AUTOMATICALLY ANALYZED

Your runs are imported from HealthKit and auto-labeled by HR pattern: Easy, Base, Long, Tempo, Intervals, etc. Each run gets zone distribution, an HR chart with cardiac drift, and km splits with pace, heart rate, cadence, and cardiac efficiency. Zero manual tagging.

TRENDS THAT ACTUALLY SHOW PROGRESS

Monthly dashboard with pace trends by zone. Watch your Z2 pace get faster over months at the same heart rate. That's real fitness progress, not a gamified streak counter. Plus cardiac efficiency trends, cadence tracking, and month-over-month volume comparisons.

WAKE UP. GLANCE. LACE UP.

Lock Screen widget shows your readiness score before you unlock your phone. The morning ritual runners actually want.

ZERO FRICTION

No morning HRV readings with your finger on the camera. No "rate your energy 1–10" questionnaires. No food logs. Everything comes from your Apple Watch automatically. Wear it to bed. Wake up. Done.

No subscription or in-app purchases needed. All data stays on your device. No accounts, no cloud, no tracking.
