User Reviews

User reviews are largely negative on reliability and usability. The app’s core function—reporting issues to city services—exists, and on rare occasions can prompt swift action (e.g., illegal dumping cleanup, pothole fixes). However, most reviews cite persistent loading and authentication issues, confusing navigation, and trouble tracking or completing requests. Many users end up resorting to calling 311 with long hold times, underscoring a need for improved reliability and a more mobile-friendly design.
Pros
  • In-app reporting to city departments enables submitting service requests directly from the phone.
  • When functional, submitted reports have led to concrete actions, such as illegal dumping cleanup and pothole fixes.
  • Some users report positive results across multiple uses over time, indicating the app can work for certain tasks.
Cons
  • Frequent loading failures, crashes, and long load times make the app unreliable.
  • Authentication and account issues, including sign-in loops and password reset failures, prevent access.
  • Navigation and workflow are poor, with redirects to external sites, loops, and a non-native, non-mobile-optimized UI.
  • Inability to enter required information (such as LADWP account numbers) or to track and manage submitted requests.
  • A common workaround is to call 311, which often involves long wait times, due to in-app shortcomings.
Recent reviews
The app keeps taking my in circles to report I need a new container because the wheels fell off today when the truck stopped it. The app asked me to sign in and then wants a new sign in for my account number. But the app won’t let me enter it.

I have used this app many times and am glad to say it has worked to make notifications and reports many times. However it is currently telling me repeatedly that I need to update the app. When I try there are no updates available. When I check the App Store it says that the last update was 7 months ago. Something needs fixing, but not by me.
