User Reviews

Users largely dislike the app’s workflow: it often redirects to the NYC DOT/311 website and blocks in-app complaint submissions. Address inputs and map-based location reporting are unreliable, with many areas requiring manual entry. Tickets frequently close without resolution, leaving issues unaddressed. The user experience is generally seen as not very user-friendly. On the plus side, parking-violation reporting is noted as effective, and some reviews praise the category structure and the ability to attach photos and location data.
Pros
  • Parking-violation reporting is noted as effective.
  • Categories are well-structured with good information and the option to attach photos/location data.
  • Some users find the app straightforward to use for certain tasks.
Cons
  • In-app submission often redirects to the NYC DOT/311 website, making filing a complaint difficult or impossible within the app.
  • Address inputs and map/location reporting are unreliable, with many areas requiring manual entry or certain locations being hard to locate.
  • Tickets frequently close without resolution, leaving issues unaddressed.
  • General usability is criticized as not user-friendly or awkward to use.

I want to report a pothole. Why can’t I just take a picture and give you the pothole address? Instead, you ask me my home address, my email, my phone number. That’s too much and no one has the patience to fill out. A pothole is a pothole, it doesn’t matter who report it. All you need is a picture and location. Please make it simpler. The pothole in my neighborhood has been there for 2 months and no one is bothering to take a look. Even the traffic police, the one who gives parking ticket didn’t do anything. What a shame.

The app is trash no with no accountability from the agency you report the complaint they take forever to respond.
