The biggest recurring issues are: unreliable facial recognition and scanning with little user feedback; frequent re-enrollment and data loss across sessions or after iOS updates; license/ID scanning failures and slow progress; no Apple Wallet integration despite user demand; and compatibility problems on newer iPhone models (e.g., iPhone 15 Pro, 16 Pro) and iOS versions. A minority note easy initial setup and view the app as a potential backup to a physical card, but the overall experience remains poor.

Recent reviews

This app is hit or miss when it comes to properly scanning an ID. It also requires you to rescan your ID every month, so it becomes an issue when scanning doesn’t work.

I’ve wasted an hour on repeated attempts to set this up. Half the time it scans the card then says “oops” and goes back to the start. On the rare occasion that the card is scanned correctly it scans my face then says there was a server error. I give up, waste of my time.
