StepGate is an app blocker that connects screen time to real movement.

Choose the apps that take too much of your attention — social media, video apps, games, messengers, shopping apps, or anything else. StepGate limits only the apps you choose. Everything else continues to work normally.

How it works:
• choose apps to put under control;
• set your daily step goal and restriction level;
• start the day with limited access;
• walk to unlock more app time;
• reach your step goals to open more access;
• reach the full access goal to use selected apps freely for the rest of the day;
• use emergency time when you really need quick access.

Most app blockers are just timers. StepGate adds a physical rule: move first, scroll later.

StepGate helps you reduce automatic app opening, spend less time on distracting apps, and turn screen time into something you actively earn through walking.

Permissions:
StepGate needs app usage access to detect selected apps, physical activity or Health Connect access to count steps, and display-over-other-apps access to show the blocking screen when a limit is reached.

These permissions are used for app control on your device. StepGate does not need an account or server to work.

StepGate is for people who want to get distracted less, move more during the day, and build a clearer rule around app access.
