Cairn is a personal hike journal designed to capture your trail memories with the feel of a waterproof field notebook you would clip to your pack. The bottom navigation uses four carabiner-inspired tabs that keep your Dashboard, Hike Log, New Hike, and Stats always within reach. On the Dashboard, two river rock–textured counters display your total hikes and total miles at a glance, while a recent list highlights your last three adventures. A floating compass quick-add button lets you jump directly into logging a fresh hike without digging through menus. The Hike Log organizes every entry by date, presenting each trail as a sturdy tag with a snippet of colored parachute cord that instantly signals the difficulty level. You can search your log by trail name, and tapping any card opens options to update details or delete the entry entirely. Adding a hike through the New Hike tab is straightforward: fill in the trail name, distance, date, and choose a difficulty from Easy, Moderate, or Hard. Pressing the compass rose save button confirms your entry, and the new tag joins your log with a subtle animated cue. The Stats tab gives you a clean breakdown of your overall activity, including total hikes, total miles, average distance, and a count of hikes grouped by difficulty. Everything you record stays stored locally on your device, so your journal is always available even when you are far from cell service. There are no accounts, no cloud syncing, and no internet requirements—just your notes, your miles, and your memories. Because every entry can be edited or removed at any time, you maintain full control over your hiking record. Whether you are a weekend hiker or just beginning to explore local trails, Cairn helps you build a lightweight, private record of every summit, loop, and ridgeline you conquer.
