"Plasma Integration" is a Chrome extension designed to enhance your browsing experience within the KDE Plasma desktop environment. It allows users to manage browser functions such as audio and video playback directly from the desktop, even when Chrome is minimized or in the background. It also enables you to check the progress of your downloads in the notification area and wirelessly transfer files to your phone via KDE Connect. To make the extension work, the plasma-browser-integration package is required and is available for Plasma 5.13 or later versions.

vivaldi came with this extension when installed on arch with kde plasma. i just found out it was the cause of the browser freezing for 30+ seconds every time i started it, sometimes minutes. this was very annoying for a long time.
