Link Highlighter Firefox

Link Highlighter

By: 789Win
Highlights all links on the current page in your chosen color and shows a quick count.

Features & Capabilities

Link Highlighter helps you scan pages fast by outlining every link in your chosen color and showing a quick count. Click the toolbar button to toggle highlights. Customize color and outline thickness in Options. It asks only for activeTab access when you click the button and uses storage to remember your preferences. There is no tracking, no analytics, and no remote code. All scripts are local and follow AMO’s content security rules. Use it to quickly inspect navigation on a site, spot link-heavy sections, or verify link presence during QA. The content script is injected only after user interaction and only into the active tab, keeping permissions tight. The add-on never modifies page HTML and avoids unsafe APIs, relying solely on a small CSS class to outline links. It is lightweight, respectful of privacy, and easy to remove.

Is Link Highlighter Safe?

Risk impact
Risk impact measures the level of extra permissions an extension has access to. A low risk impact extension cannot do much harms, whereas a high risk impact extension can do a lot of damage like stealing your password, bypassing your security settings, and accessing your personal data. High risk impact extensions are not necessarily malicious. However, if they do turn malicious, they can be very harmful.

Link Highlighter does not require any sensitive permissions.

Risk likelihood
Risk likelihood measures the probability that a Firefox add-on may turn malicious. This is determined by the publisher and the Firefox add-on reputation on Firefox Add-ons Store, the amount of time the Firefox add-on has been around, and other signals about the Firefox add-on. Our algorithms are not perfect, and are subject to change as we discover new ways to detect malicious extensions. We recommend that you always exercise caution when installing a Firefox add-on.

Link Highlighter may not be trust-worthy. Avoid installing if possible unless you really trust this publisher.
