Quick Link Highlighter Firefox

Quick Link Highlighter

By: KJC
Highlight links and buttons on any page with one click and your chosen color.

Features & Capabilities

Quick Link Highlighter adds a simple toggle to outline links and buttons on the page you’re viewing. Click the toolbar icon, and interactive elements become easy to spot. Choose your preferred color in Options. No host permissions, no remote code, and it only runs when you ask it to.

This add-on focuses on clarity and minimalism. It injects a small stylesheet into the current tab only after you click the popup’s toggle. The default color is a warm yellow that you can change at any time. The add-on stores just one setting (the color) in Firefox Sync so your choice follows you across devices where you’re signed in.

Under the hood it uses Manifest v2 with a tiny background script that sets a default color on install, a popup as the main interface, and a content script that draws the highlight. It avoids inline scripts, eval, and remote code. Permissions are limited to activeTab and storage for a safe, privacy-respecting experience.
