Link Highlighter (MV2) Firefox

Link Highlighter (MV2)

By: EE88
Highlight and count links on the current page with one click.

Features & Capabilities

This add-on offers a simple, privacy-preserving way to work with links on any page. In one click it highlights all links, shows a quick count, and lets you pick your highlight color. It runs only on demand when you press the toolbar button, never on every site, and stores your preferences in Firefox Sync for portability. After you click the toolbar button a lightweight content script is injected into the active tab using the activeTab permission. The script outlines and softly tints each link using your chosen color and displays a small toast with the result. You can toggle highlights, count links without highlighting, and change the color at any time from the popup. The extension does not collect data, make remote requests, or run in the background on every page. The design follows Mozilla’s guidance for safe WebExtensions. All scripts are in separate files with a strict Content Security Policy, no use of eval, and no innerHTML for untrusted content. Only minimal permissions are requested to reduce risk and keep the experience focused.
