What is Focusalarm?

Focusalarm is a Chrome extension developed to enhance time management for users of Focusmate.com. The extension allows users to set pre-session and end-session alarms at various intervals to maximize productivity. It also offers diverse alarm sound options. Ideal for maintaining focus, getting organized, and boosting motivation during sessions. It is, however, not recommendable for use during mic-on sessions to avoid distractions.

New Feature (October 2020): Set an alarm to go off a few seconds before the start of the session. This will only work if you have the Focusmate Dashboard (calendar) or the session window page open (It's fine if you are browsing other pages as long as it is open).

Alarms before the end of the session: Set an alarm or multiple alarms to go off before the end of Focusmate sessions. This is a good way to to remind yourself the session is ending soon and give yourself an extra motivational boost to get as much done as possible until the end of the session. You can also use the time to get organized for the end of the session check-in with your partner. You can choose for it to go off 10 minutes, 2 minutes, 1 minute or 20 seconds before the end of the session as well as any combination of these ringing times. There are three sounds to choose from: a Bell, Bleat, and Chirp. Test them out!

It is not advisable to use this extension during mic-on sessions as the sounds can distract your focusmate

Thanks for creating and making the app. I use it when I use focusmate. They recommended it to me when I had an issue; and they have been slowly adding some of the app's features to their platform. It would be great to have the before and after settings match such as options: 10, 20, 30 seconds and 1,2, 5 minutes. It would be good to also change some of the alarms to common standard such as a bell. The chime alert has recently slightly lower in volume than my audio settings. The only one that is consistant is the chirp -which is not an ideal alert. I'm using Chrome on Windows 11.
