Summary
Emailage - A LexisNexis Risk Solutions Company
Intelligent Risk Assessment Without Compromising Data Security

Emailage provides an intelligent fraud risk score that is based on fraud trends and a vast consortium of data that spans across industries and regions of the world.

Unlike solutions that require you to transmit sensitive data to determine fraud risk, the Emailage solution only requires an email address. The technology is derived from sophisticated machine learning that identifies new trends globally as they surface.

Email address as a key data element

Email address is independent of any geographical boundaries, payment methods or device technologies. No matter what part of the world you are doing business with or how that transaction takes place, you can use email addresses to gain key insights about risk. A low Emailage fraud score indicates good historical data, so you can confidently approve transactions even if the customer is new to you.

Emailage can quickly identify fraudsters with real time processing. Emailage’s proprietary algorithms evolve with new fraud trends providing you an extremely accurate indicator for those flagged as high risk. Gain insights far beyond what can be seen with transactional data alone.
Safety
Risk impact

Fraud Risk Scoring requires a number of risky permissions that can potentially harm your browser and steal your data. Exercise caution when installing this extension. Review carefully before installing. We recommend that you only install Fraud Risk Scoring if you trust the publisher.

Risk impact measures the level of extra permissions an extension has access to. A low risk impact extension cannot do much harms, whereas a high risk impact extension can do a lot of damage like stealing your password, bypass your security settings, and access your personal data. High risk impact extensions are not necessarily malicious. However, if they do turn malicious, they can be very harmful.

Risk likelihood

Fraud Risk Scoring may not be trust-worthy. Avoid installing if possible unless you really trust this publisher.

Risk likelihood measures the probability that a Chrome extension may turn malicious. This is determined by the publisher and the Chrome extension reputation on Chrome Web Store, the amount of time the Chrome extension has been around, and other signals about the Chrome extension. Our algorithms are not perfect, and are subject to change as we discover new ways to detect malicious extensions. We recommend that you always exercise caution when installing a Chrome extension, especially ones with higher risk impact and/or higher risk likelihood.

This extension would be great except it is constantly messing with gmail making it run so slow to the point that I can't keep the extension. If they spent resources fixing that problem it would be a good extension. Otherwise, it's definitely not worth it.

Manifest

The manifest file declares the requirements and permissions that a Chrome extension will have access to. By reviewing the manifest, you may be able to determine if a Chrome extension is over-reaching (for example, if an extension is overriding your new tab page, or search provider, or requesting access to your web activities without any good reason).
