SeizAlarm is a user-friendly iPhone and Apple Watch app that detects irregular movements using device motion sensors (and heart rate sensors on Apple Watch). You can customize sensitivity, and when irregular movement is detected, emergency contacts are alerted automatically through multiple channels (phone calls, texts, and emails), with GPS location when available.

In addition, you can send manual help requests, set a configurable time-delayed alert, view a robust movement log with export options, and support multiple emergency contacts and Family Setup. Optional audible siren and voice messages can help ensure help is found quickly. Great until they made you pay to use it. Paywalls with no back button. That earns one star.

My fiancé had a seizure while I was at work. I got the distress alert from this app and tried calling him to make sure it wasn’t a false alarm. Well he didn’t answer his phone so I went into panic mode. My neighbors were able to get into my house and confirmed that my fiancé did have a seizure. I’m very thankful that this app works. Saved my fiancé’s life.
