Features & Capabilities

Alarm is a self-defence/emergency alarm application with a rapid-movement and free-fall detector. You can also touch the screen to give a warning.

Not only a red screen blinking but also an alarm sound and a flash light are synchronized if the device has such functionalities.

The Apple Watch app also blinks but it's limited for a few time only to save the battery.

User Reviews

Most reviews view Alarm Free as impractical for real self-defense. The alarm is frequently too quiet, and it often fails when the phone is asleep or locked, delaying activation. Its functionality is very basic, providing a blink and a sound rather than a proven deterrent. A few users like the simple, one-tap alert or enjoy it as a harmless novelty, but the majority consider it ineffective and not worth relying on in danger.
Pros
  • One-tap emergency alert concept (easy to trigger to signal for help or deter an attacker).
  • Simple, easy-to-understand alert idea that some users appreciate as a quick signaling method.
  • Some users enjoy the app as a harmless novelty or prank, appreciating the lighthearted use.
Cons
  • Alarm is often not loud enough to be effective in real danger.
  • Does not work well when the phone is sleeping or locked, requiring unlocking and taking time to activate.
  • Extremely basic functionality (blink light + sound) with little real deterrent value against attackers.
  • Overall sentiment is largely negative, with many calling it useless or a waste of time.

So, I downloaded this thinking I'd use it as an irritation if (when) my cat jumps on the counter while cooking; and then maybe have it ready if I got into a sticky situation and wanted a deterrent. Nope, already uninstalled. It didn't even bother my cat.

I'm a diabetic and am always afraid I will go hypoglycemic which can cause an inability to articulate and the ability to perform only simple functions sluggishly. This is perfect to let someone know I need help without having to push a lot of buttons--just the icon. Well done, folks.

1st of all the app is for u the push the button to get attention or scare off your attacker. 2nd the proper way to spell is (know) not as you did (no). It's no wonder u don't know how to use the app! I agree its stupid but nothing compared to how stupid your comment is!!!!!!
