Plan small steps you can start
Project too big to start? Outline it into steps small enough to actually begin — then focus on just the next one. Task outliner built for ADHD minds. No nagging, no guilt
Do you start everything and finish nothing?
Most to-do apps hand you a flat list. A flat list just becomes another pile to feel guilty about. You open it, see 47 items at the same level of urgency, and close it again.
FinishTrax gives your work a shape — and keeps the timer inside it.
WHO THIS IS FOR
Built for people with ADHD, executive dysfunction, or anyone whose brain needs to see the shape of a project before they can start. If you've ever opened a to-do list, felt overwhelmed, and closed it without doing anything — this is for you.
No AI, and nothing gets planned for you. You break the work down; FinishTrax gives you somewhere to put it.
OUTLINE
Nest projects into tasks and subtasks as deep as you need. Progress rolls up the tree automatically, so you always know where you stand without counting. Set due dates, group work into folders, search all of it. Structure your work the way it actually is, not the way a flat list forces it to be.
FOCUS MODE
Step into a single branch and work without seeing the rest of your list. Breadcrumbs keep you oriented at any depth. The Next Focus queue lets you move on deliberately when you're ready — no context switching, no getting pulled off track.
POMODORO & FOCUS TIMER
Start a timer on a task and the task comes with it. Choose 25 minutes — the classic Pomodoro — a gentler 20, a count-up stopwatch, or any length from 1 to 999 minutes. The task's own subtasks sit right under the clock, so you tick them off without leaving the session, and the progress bar moves while the time is still running. Stop early and your focus time is still saved. It ends with a sound only if you asked for one.
WHEN SOMETHING URGENT LANDS
Capture the interruption in one line. It lands in its own Temporary tasks folder, not in the middle of your projects. Deal with it, then tap your previous task in Recent focus — the note is still open at the line you left.
TIMEBLOCK
A day and week calendar for work you've already decided on. Drop a block, link it to its task, repeat it weekly. Deciding once beats re-deciding every morning.
COMPLETION HEATMAP
A month view of everything you've finished. No scores. No streaks. No grades. Just your honest history — because one of the hardest parts of ADHD is not believing you're making progress even when you are. It also shows the hours you tend to finish things, and turns a repeating window into weekly blocks in one tap.
NOTES THAT STAY WITH THE TASK
Every task carries its own Markdown note — headings, checklists, tables, code, links, and photos from your camera or library. Reopen the task and the thinking is already there, instead of starting over.
