Take back your attention. Set a phone-free window, breathe, check in with your mood, and wind down with ambient soundscapes.
MindUnplugged helps you build a healthier relationship with your phone, one small window at a time. Simple, science-informed tools to step away from the scroll, check in with yourself, and actually feel better - whether you have ten minutes or a full hour to unplug.
DIGITAL DETOX SESSIONS
Pick a phone-free window (15, 30, 60, or 90 minutes, or a custom length). Choose what you're stepping away from, set an intention, name what you'll do instead, and let the timer run. Every completed session adds to your streak and your weekly phone-free total.
7-DAY PHONE DIET
A structured week-long ramp that builds your detox muscle one day at a time. Each day has a target duration that grows from 15 minutes on day one up to 60 minutes by day seven.
DAILY CHECK-IN
One quick check-in a day. Log your mood on a 1 to 5 scale, plus optional notes on sleep, exercise, social contact, and screen time. Edit it any time the same day if your day shifts.
INSIGHTS
A clean 14-day view of how things are going:
- Phone-free minutes per day
- Daily mood timeline
- Current streak and freezes available
- Your most common reason for reaching for the phone
- Average mood on detox days vs. other days
URGE SURF
When the urge to check your phone hits, open Urge Surf. Thirty seconds of guided breathing, a quick reflection on what triggered it, and a nudge toward something better to do instead.
BREATHING EXERCISES
Three guided patterns - Box (4-4-4-4), 4-7-8, and Coherent (5-5) - with gentle bell tones for inhale and exhale phases and an optional low drone for focus.
AMBIENT SOUNDSCAPES
Six looping tracks - Ocean, Rain, Birds, Piano, Melody, and Night - with calm animated visuals matched to each track. Set a sleep timer (10, 20, 30, or 60 minutes) so the audio fades out and you can drift off without touching your phone.
WIND-DOWN
A four-stage bedtime ritual: set a screen-off intention, do a few rounds of 4-7-8 breathing, dump anything on your mind, and end with three good things from the day.
THREE GOOD THINGS
A 30-second daily gratitude prompt. Three small things that went well, that you appreciated, or that you want to remember.
REPLACEMENT DECK
A swipeable deck of small offline things to do instead of scrolling. Read a chapter, take a 10-minute walk, message a friend, stretch, sketch. Shuffle until something fits the moment.
STREAKS WITH FREEZE PROTECTION
Your streak grows when you check in or finish a detox session. Miss a single day? You get one free streak freeze per week so one off day doesn't reset your progress.
CRISIS RESOURCES, ALWAYS ONE TAP AWAY
988 Suicide and Crisis Lifeline, Crisis Text Line, Trevor Project, Veterans Crisis Line, SAMHSA, plus resources for Canada, the UK, Australia, and a global helpline finder.
