Family O'Clock

One small reminder when you reach for your phone during family time. No blocking, no streaks, no accounts — just a nudge, then the choice is yours.

Family O’Clock is a small reminder for parents.

Pick the apps that tend to pull you away. Set the hours that are family time. The first time you open one of those apps during family time, Family O’Clock shows one short, playful line over it — “Tick-tock — it’s family o’clock!” — and one button. Dismiss it, and your apps stay available for the rest of that family time. Need ten more minutes? Snooze, and the reminder comes back in fifteen.

That’s the whole app. It doesn’t lock your phone, count your minutes or keep score. It interrupts one automatic reach and hands the decision back to you.

HOW IT WORKS • Choose your apps — the ones that tend to pull you away, picked with Apple’s own Screen Time picker. • Set family time — the days and hours when the reminder is ready. Different days can have different hours. • See one reminder — the first selected app you open during family time shows it once. A new message every day.

SNOOZE • Snooze 15 min releases your apps and brings the reminder back a little later, with a new line each time. Available while a full snooze still fits before family time ends.

PRIVATE BY DESIGN • Everything stays on your iPhone. No account, no sign-in, no cloud sync. • Family O’Clock never sees which apps you use or for how long. Your app selection is handled by Apple’s Screen Time and is never readable by the app. • No analytics, no ads, no tracking.

WHAT IT ISN’T • Not a blocker. Your apps are never locked for more than one tap. • Not a screen-time tracker. There are no statistics, streaks or scores. • Not parental control. It runs on your own phone, for you.

Family O’Clock uses Apple’s Screen Time (Family Controls) to show the reminder over the apps you choose. It asks for that permission once, during setup, and explains exactly what it’s for.
