User Reviews
Pros
- Educational and easy to use with a clear DBT structure.
- Supports daily emotion/behavior tracking with long-term data, boosting accountability.
- Replaces paper diary cards and fits well in therapy/group review contexts.
- Rich feature set includes skill explanations, the 28 Skills Overview, Chain Analysis, and personal target behaviors.
- Many users find it a valuable, motivating tool for practicing DBT and staying consistent.
Cons
- Insufficient self-harm/target behavior reporting and only Yes/No ratings; no 0–5/0–7 scales, unsafe for at-risk users.
- Maintenance/updates are uneven; app seems outdated and users report bugs after updates.
- Interface can be time-consuming and not very intuitive; navigation and questions feel burdensome.
- Skill list not fully comprehensive and some customization options are missing (e.g., limited emotion/target tracking).
- Accessibility inconsistencies; some features unusable for blind/VI users and Braille users; needs improvements.

This is a great app to have on your phone. Makes diary cards much more accessible, especially if you are taking a DBT group with a weekly review or paper dairy cards. Regardless, this would give you a good start and overview of DBT.
The questions it ask as your going through the skills check list help me think about how I applied (or didn’t) each skill as well as refresh my memory of what each skill actually consists of and how it’s used. You can also add personal behaviors that you might want to work on.
The long term data tracking is nice to monitor patterns that you might not catch week by week. This free version is much better than the same type of app I paid 5$ for! Thanks!
