Pros

Previously a convenient, all-in-one app for appointments, messages, medical records, prescriptions, and lab results.
Provided easy access to a user's own and family members' appointments, messages, and medical records.
Was generally helpful and reliable for months before the latest issues began.

Cons

App now redirects to an external browser (often Safari) for most actions, requiring repeated sign-ins and undermining the app experience.
App often won't open or crashes after updates, sometimes showing a black screen or freezes.
Core in-app tasks (appointments, prescriptions, messages) must be done via the browser; in-app functionality is largely broken.
Poor or unclear migration/update with little to no communication about restoration timelines.
Notified/alerted in-app messages or test results are missing or hard to notice, making it easy to miss important information.

Recent reviews

Calling this app hot garbage is an affront to hot garbage. It’s organized so poorly, loads slowly, and its current incarnation doesn’t even boot up properly. When email or web instructions say “open our app,” it’s icing on the cake.

6/12/26 update: I deleted the app when I left my recent review. I had an appointment at KP today and discussed this with the person that checked me in. She said it’s a known issue that the employees and other patients complain about. ———- After the latest update the app no longer works. Nothing happens except the blue splash screen. Unbelievable! Let me just happily go online instead. (Sarcasm)
