I went to a regular mammogram that was scheduled by my new doctor. I was told that I needed a diagnostic mammogram so we contacted my doctor and before I even got down the road told that I could get my mammogram, that the orders had come through. I come back and it’s the same technician and she said I don’t know why they scheduled this regular mammogram not the diagnostic. I said can I just have the regular mammogram that’s been ordered and if it’s not enough and my doctor needs the diagnostic one I’ll do that one later. Had the regular mammogram and then they send me a bill for $1100 for a diagnostic mammogram that I did not have. I contacted the billing department, sent a letter explaining what had happened and then I went to my regular he gave me some medication and when it gave me a rash I called back and they declined me service because I owed a bill. I told them they screwed that up not me and I’m not paying $1100 for a test I didn’t have done. I told them I had my routine mammogram and no one will listen. I even spoke to the technician And she said she would let billing know what had happened and I was standing there when she talked to them. To this day they still have not taken my account and I have been refused medical assistance.
