User Reviews

Echo offers real-time heart-rate display with HR zone alerts, good value for money, and useful compatibility with gym equipment when it connects. Users also note it can display HR on iPhone and provides responsive support updates that fix issues. However, repeated reliability problems overshadow the positives: unstable Bluetooth connections to iFIT/NordicTrack/Peloton and frequent dropouts, the need to re‑setup the app on each launch or after updates, a pricing gate that requires an extra purchase to display HR beyond the short default, and regressions after updates. Overall, it can be very helpful when it runs smoothly, but stability is a concern.
Pros
  • Real-time heart-rate display with HR zone alerts.
  • Great value for money and cost savings compared to dedicated heart-rate monitors.
  • Works well with gym equipment (e.g., NordicTrack/iFIT, Peloton) when the connection is reliable.
  • Responsive support and updates that fix issues.
  • Displays HR data on iPhone for on-the-go monitoring.
Cons
  • Unstable Bluetooth connections leading to dropouts and missed data with iFIT/NordicTrack/Peloton.
  • Requires re-setup every time you start a workout or after updates.
  • Pricing gating to display HR beyond 20 minutes requiring an extra purchase.
  • Updates can introduce regressions or break features (e.g., elapsed time removal, watch syncing issues).
  • Inconsistent or slow customer support/refund experiences.

Recently I noticed that on my Apple Watch Ultra 2 the heart rate stays constant. It did not change I bps the entire 45 minutes. I assume this is a bug???
