User Reviews

ACT iCoach shows strong therapeutic value with solid ACT content, mood/log tracking, and clinician-friendly features. However, persistent bugs, a steep paywall with limited free content, and a confusing onboarding experience are common complaints. Reliability issues like data loss and login problems further detract from usability. Overall, it’s a promising tool for therapy and self-management when functioning well, but stability, cost, and onboarding need improvement.
Pros
  • Daily and weekly logs with the ability to share mood/affect scores with a therapist are helpful for tracking progress.
  • Clinician-friendly features enable homework assignments and easy viewing of client progress, improving therapy collaboration.
  • The app is well-designed, user-friendly, and comprehensive for practicing ACT (educational and interactive).
  • Many users find ACT iCoach more effective for anxiety/mental health management than some other CBT tools.
  • Paying for the upgrade is perceived by some users to enhance learning ACT skills and usability.
Cons
  • Frequent bugs and reliability issues (freezes after entries, crashes, data loss, and sign-out problems) disrupt usage.
  • High cost and heavy subscription model with limited free content, making it hard to justify the price for many users.
  • Limited free content and a perceived lack of automation/ integration (manual workbook feel, few guided free resources).
  • Onboarding is confusing or incomplete (hard to find ACT 101, unclear how to use scales, navigation issues).
  • Support accessibility can be poor (difficult to contact, reliance on external email), and some data- or store-connectivity problems worsen the experience.

I downloaded the app and tried the free trail. I actually have a coach thought maybe this would be a good app to keep track. After every entry or assessment the app just freezes.

This app doesn’t allow you to use the majority of the functions unless you pay an expensive subscription. At least make it a one time charge. Not worth downloading, unless you’re wanting to pay $10/month.
