User Reviews

Users praise ACT Companion for a broad, integrated set of ACT tools and real-life usefulness, but report significant access and reliability problems, including login/server errors, content becoming locked after payment, privacy concerns, and weak support. Overall it’s valued for its potential to aid practice, yet technical and service issues undermine usability.
Pros
  • Wide range of ACT tools and exercises integrated in one app (e.g., Dropping Anchor).
  • Real-world, practical benefits with life-changing potential; helps apply ACT in daily life.
  • Convenient and easy to use for quick practice and tracking of feelings and progress.
Cons
  • Frequent login/registration and server connectivity failures preventing access.
  • Paid content remains locked or inaccessible after purchase, causing frustration and pricing confusion.
  • Privacy/consent concerns about collecting email/name before access and unclear data usage.
  • Weak or unresponsive customer support with broken contact options (404 pages, delays).
  • Post-update regressions and design changes that disrupt access (re-sign-in requirements, old purchases not recognized).

Trying to get into the app and just get spinning thing. Tried deleting it and turning my phone off and installing it again. I had an account but cannot even get into the app. It worked once, then this.

It annoys the heck out of me that apps can ask for my email and name before telling me that I need to pay to access the content. You got my info for free. That lacks informed consent. If you were a mental health professional, you’d know that was a big ethical no-no.

Thank you. With the additional features, e.g. Dropping Anchor exercises, I feel I have all the tools I need in one place. I used to have to exit the App and go into my saved audio files if I wanted to practice dropping anchor. Now it’s here in the App. Same goes for other ACT tools that I wanted to practice but weren’t on the old version of the App. Now they’re here. Great improvements. Thank you! I recommend this App, Dr. Harris’ books, and the online course to everyone. Life changing stuff that can help everyone wherever one might be in life.
