User Reviews

Users praise the app for its simple, clean interface and effective mindfulness features that fit into daily routines, with reminders to reflect and be present. The downside is recurring in-app purchase issues: upgrades may not unlock or apply, and access may not transfer after reinstall. When purchases work, users report a satisfying, distraction-free mindfulness tool; when they don’t, it undermines the experience.
Pros
  • Simple, clean, distraction-free UI.
  • Mindfulness-focused content and features that fit into daily life.
  • Reminders to reflect/be present and usable anytime.
Cons
  • In-app purchases and premium upgrades sometimes don't unlock or apply.
  • Premium access restoration/transfer after reinstall can fail, preventing access to purchased features.

I’ve tried many wellness and journaling apps, and most feel either too clinical or too simple. Present Sense strikes a thoughtful balance between calming, reflective, and genuinely useful. What stands out is its focus on recognizing patterns in thoughts, emotions, and behaviors - not just tracking moods, but understanding recurring cycles. The design is clean and intuitive, and features like “Log a Feeling,” “Find Quick Relief,” and “Reflect” make it easy to use anytime. The breathing and grounding exercises are simple, practical, and effective. Most importantly, the app feels genuinely human and centered on self-awareness rather than engagement. Highly recommend if you want something deeper than surface-level mindfulness.
