Features & Capabilities

Ready to smoke less without the struggle? Your taper plan shows how many to smoke and when, sends reminders, and tracks money saved on your timeline.

Quit smoking at your own pace QSmoking builds a personal plan from how much you smoke, what a pack costs, and your start date. You also record which hours you usually smoke and mark the times you expect will be hardest to cut back, so the plan fits your real day, not a generic template.

How it works The app works out a day-by-day path to reduce cigarettes until you hit your goal. Each day it shows how many cigarettes you can have and when, and can notify you so you do not have to keep the numbers in your head.

More than a counter See how much money you are saving as you stick to the plan—so progress feels concrete, not just willpower.

User Reviews

This app is great. It doesn’t give me pep talks. It doesn’t show me gross pictures. What it does is give me plan based on how I smoke now. While that’s great and the algorithm is nice, there a a couple of things I’d like to see added. First, I’d like to determine not only the start date of my plan, but also the finish date. I have a specific goal date and while it means my quitting will be less gradual (and yes, a bit more painful) I’d would like the freedom to choose that. I’ve had to go in and cheat the system by altering how many cigarettes I currently smoke until the pace picked up enough to,get me closer to my goal. I shouldn’t have to work that hard. And yes, I’d pay for that. Second, some of us have much longer days than the app recognizes. Limiting how many smoking hours I can select also makes this more difficult than it needs to be. I actually, consistently live on 4-5 hours of sleep. The last is that I’d like to see a persistent alarm rather than a notification. If I am not near my phone and miss a notification, skipping isn’t what I’d like to do. As intended, I do want the nicotine dependency gradually diminished. An alarm to keep me on track would be super helpful. But, of the apps I’ve tried, this one is the simplest, most user-friendly, and the most helpful I’ve found. It delivers an actual plan to follow. If I could customize it a bit, it would be the perfect app to kick the habit.
