User Reviews

531 Strength is praised for its simple, practical design and strong lift-tracking for the 5/3/1 program, with valuable one-time add-ons and no sign-in. Users report real progress and reliable organization of workouts. Recurring drawbacks include calculation bugs, limited customization/notes, and missing accessory-lift and rep/set tracking features. Overall, it’s a solid, cost-effective tool for serious lifters, though some updates could improve accuracy and flexibility.
Pros
  • Easy to use, clean and straightforward interface; no sign-in required, prioritizing function over fluff.
  • Excellent progress tracking for lifts and workouts, helping users stay on track and measure progress.
  • Good value with one-time add-ons and no subscription; plate calculator and other upgrades add durable functionality.
  • Designed for Wendler 5/3/1 and complements the program well, with reliable calculations and organization of lifts.
Cons
  • Calculation/percent accuracy bugs in early versions, with percentages sometimes showing incorrect values.
  • Limited customization options and notes; only a single general notes section and missing per-week/per-lift notes.
  • Missing accessory lifts list and a dedicated rep/set tracker as a feature gap.

I’ve used this for years, my go to app for weights!

Short, sweet, and to the point. I wish there was an accessory lift list and accompanying rep/set tracker. But ABSOLUTELY worth the few bucks for this app. it’s a steal. Also, buy one of the 5-3-1 books and read it.
