Visual notifications is a simple Chrome extension that provides visual notifications when inactive tabs start playing sound. It works only with Linux operating system and is useful for users who want to have a visual notification in addition to sound notification for web chat clients or to quickly find tabs that are playing sound.

It doesn't do anything for me. I'm using standard Chrome on Linux Mint 20.3 Cinnamon. However Sound Found works, so I'm going with that.

I have multiple tabs open with the web app "textfree.us" I installed this extension and it does not seem to work? Any ideas or can you point me in the right direction? This is exactly what I need. I will have a dozen tabs open and one will play a sound and I have to look through them all. EDIT: The extension is grayed out. I will troubleshoot and report back. Thank you
