Aether: Gentle Check-ins

Aether is a quiet place to notice how you are, and then put your phone down.

Most mood apps want more from you: longer entries, unbroken streaks, another notification. Aether is built the other way round. A check-in is one tap. If that is all you have today, that is enough.

WHAT IT DOES

One-tap check-ins. Steady, Tired, Numb, Overwhelmed, Unsafe. Tap and you are done. Add a sentence only if you want to.

Modes that follow your energy. When things are heavy the whole app softens into a warm, low-stimulation palette with shorter copy. When they are harder still, a calm grounded surface takes over.

Nothing piles on. If you check in many times in a difficult stretch, Aether stops asking and offers rest instead. Reflections are gathered into one end-of-day note rather than a running commentary.

An honest streak. Gentle days are counted, and the counter stays hidden when it is at zero. No pressure to keep anything alive.

Support that is already set up. Your emergency contact, your doctor, a safety plan you can work through one step at a time, and the 988 Suicide and Crisis Lifeline always one tap away.

A home screen widget, a Quick Settings tile and voice shortcuts, so grounding is reachable without opening anything.

YOUR ENTRIES STAY ON YOUR PHONE

Aether has no accounts and no servers. It makes no network requests of its own. What you write is stored in the app's private storage on your device and is never sent to us, because there is nowhere for it to go. We could not read it if we wanted to.
