What is Gopher Buddy?

Gopher Buddy is a Chrome extension for school-managed devices. It captures username, IP, start time, session duration, and offers high-resolution usage history and network IP reporting. Furthermore, it facilitates role-based access to session information and device metadata. It also encourages users to update their devices to prevent OS obsolescence. Administrative installation and a valid license are required. Note: Gopher Buddy does not track browsing history.

everyone is saying spyware, and if it is... that means my school can see the fanfics i write. remove the extension thanks

I should say it only effects chromebooks that your school sets up. it wont affect web browsers on your main computer. i never found this extension to be annoying on school chromebooks. Another thing is that it will never sell your personal information, only the school board will have access to this information.
