XLSX Editor Firefox

XLSX Editor

Open and edit Excel workbooks locally. Download your edited workbook without uploading file data.

Features & Capabilities

Open XLSX workbooks in a full browser tab. Inspect cells and formulas, change supported values, and move between sheets using the ribbon, formula bar and worksheet tabs. No account required.

All workbook processing runs locally using bundled code and WebAssembly. No webpage-reading permissions, content scripts, remote code or automatic analytics. Workbook contents stay in tab memory and are not uploaded or saved in browser storage. Closing or reloading clears working state.

Download edits as a separate XLSX file. The original is not overwritten. Formula calculation and advanced Excel features have limits; unsupported operations show an explanation. Keep a backup and check exports before replacing originals.
