Silo - multi account container management Firefox

Silo - multi account container management

Silo turns Firefox Containers into an automated workflow by opening sites in configurable containers, or temporary containers for disposable sessions. It has bookmark-aware routing, activity stats, and keyboard-shortcut support.

Features & Capabilities

Silo is the automation layer on top of Firefox Containers. Firefox Multi-Account Containers gives you the building blocks; Silo adds rule-driven behavior so sites reliably open in the right container without constant manual tab management. It supports the enforcement of always (or never) opening sites in a given container and has keyboard-shortcut-friendly workflows for faster control.

Features

  • Automatic site-to-container routing: Opens matching sites in the correct container automatically.
  • Presets: Container and rules presets for common sites like Facebook, Google, Amazon, and others
  • Include rules: Assign domains/patterns to specific containers for everyday routing.
  • Exclude rules: Force sites to open outside container context when needed.
  • Restrict rules: Block or tightly control sensitive domains for stronger separation.
  • Priority-based rule engine: Resolves conflicts predictably with clear rule precedence.
  • Temporary containers: Launch disposable containers for short-lived, isolated sessions.
  • Popup quick actions: Open current tab in a container, open a new tab in a container, or open in a temporary container.
  • Bookmark-to-container associations: Link bookmarks to containers so launches stay isolated.
  • Better container management UI: View and manage containers and rules from a dedicated options interface.
  • Dashboard and activity stats: Track container/rule activity and recent behavior at a glance.
  • Import/export tools: Back up and restore rules, containers, and templates.
  • Keyboard shortcuts: Use Firefox extension shortcuts for faster actions
