Multi-Account Containers Tools

By: DJS Add-on
Lightweight extension providing useful tools to be combined with Firefox containers.

Features & Capabilities

This lightweight extension offers some useful tools to be combined with Firefox containers:

  • optionally clean cookies when last tab closes (only for main-container)
  • optionally clean all main-container cookies and data on browser start
  • optionally clean all container cookies and data on browser start
  • specific-container redirection for bookmarked links
  • optional cross-domain redirect to main-container (containers' domain isolation)
  • optionally always open URL or domain in a specific container

All-in-one extension, no need for Firefox Multi-Account Containers extension any more.

Key features:

  • opens cross-domain links in default container to prevent tracking
  • auto-deletes cookies from the main container after last tab (containing that specific domain) is closed
  • auto-deletes cookies and/or other navigation data (localStorage, IndexedDB, Cache HTTP, Service Workers) fom the main container or all containers on browser start
  • optionally prevent navigator.serviceWorker and/window.caches for all containers (with the possibility to specify whitelist if needed)
  • supports URL+ContainerName bookmark syntax
  • supports TITLE+ContainerName bookmark syntax
  • specify an address (or part of it) so that it is always opened in the desired container

Please, notice that to enable the opening of a bookmark in a specific container, you must rename the bookmark url as "https://www.domain.com/page#Container-containername" (for example: "https://www.google.com#Container-Work" will open https://www.google.com directly inside the 'Work' container). Or change bookmarked page title into "TITLE [#Container-Work]" (for example: bookmarked link with "My personal Google page [#Container-Work]" title will open that page directly inside the 'Work' container). You can also customize the '#Container-' bookmark divider, if desired. If you edit the link of a bookmark to add the target-container marker, in order to continue seeing the correct website icon (favicon), you'll need to open the edited link at least once with the plugin disabled (so that Firefox correctly associates the new link with the web page).
