User Reviews
I was looking for this exact feature for as long as there were containers in Firefox. Honestly, this should've been the default behavior.
The switch back to the default container is a bit jerky (it rapidly opens the tab in a current container, closes it, and opens again in the default one) and if you're opening a link in the same tab it won't work, it only works for new tabs, but that's good enough for me. Now I'll finally start to actually use containers.

Is Exclusive Containers Safe?
Risk impact
Risk impact measures the level of extra permissions an extension has access to. A low risk impact extension cannot do much harms, whereas a high risk impact extension can do a lot of damage like stealing your password, bypassing your security settings, and accessing your personal data. High risk impact extensions are not necessarily malicious. However, if they do turn malicious, they can be very harmful.
Exclusive Containers requires some sensitive permissions that could impact your browser and data security. Exercise caution before installing.
