You get out, you wait at the desk, you stand at a closed gate: at a standstill the tachograph switches itself to work. Those minutes then do not count as rest. Tacho to Rest sees it happen and puts it straight back on rest. Nothing to press, nothing to remember.

HOW IT WORKS
The app connects to your VDO over Bluetooth and uses the remote control (RHMI). When the tachograph switches to work while you are stationary, the app sets the activity back. That is all it does: driving and standstill remain up to the tachograph itself.

WHAT YOU SEE
Live data from the tachograph: the current activity, whether the connection is up and whether the remote is active.
A log: what the app set, when, and whether the tachograph accepted it.
A choice between rest and available. Driving cannot be set remotely; the vehicle unit decides that from movement.

WHAT YOU NEED
A VDO Smart Tacho 2 (G2v1 or G2v2) running software version 04.01.40 (DTCO 4.1a) or later. You can read that version on the tachograph itself under Display, Vehicle, DTCO Version. You also need Bluetooth on, your driver card in slot 1 and the remote (R) set to YES in the driver menu.

VDO only. A Stoneridge does not allow the activity to be set remotely.

The app changes nothing about the rules and gives no legal advice. What the tachograph records remains what counts.

SUBSCRIPTION
After the trial week you choose a monthly or yearly subscription. The price you see in the app is the price Google Play charges. The subscription runs until you stop it and renews automatically each time. Cancel in the Google Play at least 24 hours before the current period ends.
