Obsidian-livesync-webclip is a unique Chrome extension created to enhance your Obsidian experience. It enables you to clip web pages to markdown and send them seamlessly to Obsidian via LiveSync. Not only does it store online content locally for offline review, but it also permits image capture. The self-hosted livesync and obsidian-live-sync-webclip are open-source, so all data is fully under your control. Note, to operate, it needs Obsidian, a personal server or SaaS account, and a compatible Cloudant or CouchDB instance that allows CORS requests from the clipped URI.

This tool was the missing piece for me to move away from Evernote. There is some setup that needs to happen for this tool to work (couchDB), but that is aligned with how I want to store/host my data (myself) so it's worth the few minutes to set things up.
Many thanks to the developer of this tool.
This is not working. It cannot even clip a simple webpage which has no images and no complex math expressions. Improve this extension and make it work.
