Opsicle Teams is the app your staff use. Managers run the rota in OPSICLE; this is the half that lives in everyone else's pocket.

Everything about the working week in one place — the rota as soon as it is published, the hours actually worked, the holiday booked, and the people on shift alongside you.

WHAT IT DOES

• The rota — this week, next week, and every shift you are on • Clock in and out from your phone, with the site confirmed by location • A timesheet that shows what payroll will be working from • Book holiday, and see where the request has got to • Notices from whoever is running the floor • Message a colleague, or the channel for the site you work at • Read and sign employment documents, and keep your copy • A push when the rota is published, a request is answered, or a shift changes

MANAGERS GET A LITTLE MORE

Approve holiday, post a notice, check the day's timesheet and send out a document to be signed — without opening a laptop.

CLOCKING IN, AND YOUR LOCATION

Your location is checked at the moment you clock in or out, to confirm you are at your workplace. If your employer turns the option on, OPSICLE also checks whether you are still at your site while your shift is running — including when the app is closed — so it can remind you if you leave without clocking out. It never records where you are, only whether you are at your site, and it checks nothing while you are on a break or off the clock. You are asked before that starts, and you can turn it off at any time.

FACE ID

Optional, and only to get back into the app without typing your password every shift. Nothing about your face leaves your phone.
