Features & Capabilities

Two people, one phone. Write your sides, tick the same list, and find the one question underneath the whole argument. No account, nothing to pay.

Some arguments go in circles. You have both made the same point four times, you both feel unheard, and neither of you can say what you are actually disagreeing about any more.

Dispute is for that. One phone, two people, about fifteen minutes.

HOW IT WORKS

  1. Say what the argument is, in one line, and put both your names in.

  2. Each of you takes the phone and writes your side properly, on your own, with the other person not reading over your shoulder.

  3. The app turns both sides into one list of points, shuffled together, with no names on it. You each go through the same list and tick what you agree with. Because you cannot tell whose point is whose, you end up judging the point.

  4. It shows you what you already agree on. In most arguments this is more than either person expected.

  5. Then it names the crux: the one question where, depending on the answer, either of you would change your mind. Not a summary, not a compromise, and not a verdict. One question, and something you could actually go and do to settle it.

  6. At the end you get the whole thing written up, which you can keep or share.

WHAT IT WILL NOT DO

It never takes a side. It does not tell you who is right, it does not score the argument, and it does not comment on your relationship. It has no opinion about either of you and it is not supposed to.

WHAT IT COSTS

Nothing. There is no account, no sign-in, no subscription and no ads. You do not need to make an account with anyone, and there is nothing to set up before you start.

THE AI, AND WHAT LEAVES YOUR PHONE

The list of points and the crux are written by Google's Gemini model. That means what you both type is sent to Google to be read. It is on the free tier, and free means Google may use what is sent to improve their products, and that their reviewers may see samples of it. The app tells you this on the first screen, before you type anything.

If you would rather none of that happened, turn the AI off in Settings. The app still works: you write your own points, you name the crux together from a filled-in draft, and nothing leaves the phone.

The one argument you have open is stored in one file on your phone. Deleting it in Settings deletes it. There is no cloud copy, no sync, and nothing on our end with your name on it, because there is no account to put a name in.
