The count starts from the truth. Set your last contact an hour ago or three weeks ago; both are fine. From there your day count runs live, milestones arrive quietly at one day, a week, two weeks, a month, and the record of what you have done keeps growing.

The hardest minute usually comes late at night. Tap the button before you text and Outgrown takes you through four slow breaths, then shows you the reasons you wrote down for exactly this moment, then hands you a blank page: say all of it here, where they will never receive it. Whatever you write stays in your Unsent vault on this phone. When it passes, log what was underneath it — lonely, angry, drunk, nostalgic, or the one everyone knows: you checked their profile again. Checking is not breaking your streak here, it is a moment worth noticing.

Most people break no contact at some point. When it happens, Outgrown does not erase you. A restart keeps your whole history: every day you already counted, your longest streak, every urge you resisted. You begin again with all of it still yours.
