Brusmaskin

Brusmaskin is a pocket groovebox — an 8-track synthesizer, sampler and sequencer for making complete tracks wherever you are.

SEVEN SOUND ENGINES FM synthesis with a subtractive filter stage, a raw mono synth with drive and wavefolding, a lush 7-voice supersaw, a dedicated drum synth with FM percussion, filtered noise and attack transients, a plucked string (Karplus–Strong) with a pick that changes every note, and GRAIN — a granular engine that plays any sample as a cloud. Plus a sampler with stereo samples, slicing, key-mapped chopping, non-destructive trim and a start offset for ghost notes. The same audio plays both ways — sampler or cloud — with zero copies.

RESAMPLE YOURSELF Capture any track with one button — it keeps playing while the recording runs through its own private effects, so the take carries the filter, the drive and the track's own reverb and delay tail, in stereo. Then listen and choose what it becomes: a sample, a grain cloud sliced on the hits, or a playable kit where each note is one hit. Or record from the microphone, or GRAB the last 30 seconds of the master — the take you just played but forgot to record is still there.

DEEP MODULATION Three envelopes and three LFOs per sound, each with three freely routable destinations — and every target lives on every engine. Vibrato on a sample, a moving noise filter on a drum, an LFO that rechops a break on every note, an envelope that scrubs a grain cloud through a field recording. HOLD, CURVE and END floors turn envelopes into drones.

DEEP STEP SEQUENCING Per-step trig conditions, probability, ratchets with pitch rolls, swing, and patterns up to 128 steps with independent speed and length. An arpeggiator with chord pools, inversions and free-run mode. Sound locks put a different sound on any step, and per-step parameter offsets shape your sounds over time.

SONGS, NOT JUST LOOPS Chain patterns into parts, phrases and full songs. Perform live in the performance view, mix with per-track faders, and glue everything together with chorus, delay and a rich plate reverb. Sidechain ducking built in.

HANDS ON MIDI learn maps any knob, fader or button on your controller to sounds, mixer faders, mutes and solos — with soft takeover so nothing jumps. 576 factory presets cover every engine, and an INIT patch per engine gives you a clean starting point when you want to build from scratch.

YOURS Projects and sample banks are stored in iCloud Drive as plain files you can see and back up. Scale-aware note entry, a built-in browser of vintage drum machine sample packs, and video import that pulls the audio straight out of a screen recording. No account, no subscription, and everything works completely offline.
