Features & Capabilities

Vigil watches your heart rate and HRV during high-stakes work. When your physiology shifts, it taps your wrist and says one word. The reset takes five seconds.

Vigil is an instrument, not a wellness app.

It does not calculate a stress score. It does not show you a gauge. It does not tell you to relax.

During a session, Vigil watches your heart rate and heart rate variability, learns your own baseline — not a population average — and taps your wrist when your physiology shows early signs of over-activation. The screen says one word:

RESET

Nothing else. No score. No warning. No explanation you'd have to read while your hands are busy.

Because information has a cost when you're under load. Telling someone mid-procedure that their variability has dropped is not help; it's a second thing to deal with. So Vigil says the one thing that's actionable, and otherwise stays out of the way.

THE RESET Physiological sigh. Box breathing. Tactical breath. Or just carry on. The pacer runs on haptics as well as visuals, so it works with your eyes on the patient, the road, or whatever else has your attention. Under five seconds, start to finish.

THE DEBRIEF Afterwards — and only afterwards — you get the numbers. Duration, average heart rate, variability, and a timeline showing where in the session each alert fell. Were they clustered at the start, or did the last hour take you apart? That's a useful question. It's just not a useful question during the session.

BUILT FOR Medicine. Emergency response. Aviation. Military and law enforcement. Trading floors. Examinations. Competition. Anywhere the quality of your decision matters more than the comfort of your day.

FREE FOREVER Monitoring, alerts and resets are free and unlimited. They are never metered, never interrupted, and never expire. An instrument that stops watching because a subscription lapsed would be worse than no instrument.

Vigil Pro adds the record: every session kept, trends over time, recovery times, and data export.

WHAT IT ISN'T Vigil is not a medical device. It does not diagnose, treat, or monitor any condition, and it must not be used as the basis for a clinical or operational decision. It reports deviation from your own baseline, not an absolute physiological measurement. Its detection thresholds have not been clinically validated. The absence of an alert means nothing — it does not mean you are calm, rested, or fit to proceed. Consult a clinician for medical decisions.

All data stays on your Apple Watch. Nothing is uploaded. There are no accounts, no analytics, and no third parties.
