Train Smarter, Recover Better
Your morning readiness, today's training target, and real recovery trends, all computed on your phone from Apple Health data, all built on real sports science.
FitInsights turns the data your iPhone and Apple Watch already collect into a daily training and recovery coach.
Every calculation runs on your device, using your Apple Health data: workouts, heart rate, HRV, sleep, resting heart rate, steps, VO2 max, and body composition. No account, no upload, no ads (there is a small amount of user-provided inputs that get shared across the devices on your account via iCloud).
The Three Main Views (How It Works)
Dashboard: your daily decision
- Morning Capacity (0–100): overnight recovery minus what you've already spent
- Today's Load vs. your target band, with a rolling training "Base"
- Effort guidance: recovery, easy, moderate, or hard (matched to how you actually slept and recovered)
- Recovery chips for sleep, HRV, resting heart rate, sleep debt, and sleep regularity
- After-workout capacity, updated the moment you finish a session
Insights: the multi-week picture
- HR zone distribution and polarization, so you can see easy-vs-hard balance at a glance
- Load trend using short-term:long-term load ratio, shown as a trend
- HRV and resting heart rate against your own rolling baseline
- Sleep duration and regularity over time
- A wellness journal that sits alongside your objective data, without pretending the two always agree
- VO2 max and body composition trends, confidence-gated so noise doesn't masquerade as progress
- A metric library for anything else you want to chart and baseline from Apple Health data
Engine: is your fitness actually improving?
- Heart-rate recovery trend: how fast your heart rate drops after effort, a well-studied marker of aerobic fitness
- Aerobic efficiency trend: whether your heart rate is drifting less at the same pace over time
- A plain-language nudge on what (if anything) to add this week that always respects your current recovery
- An optional, opt-in monthly fitness check using a simple walk or run test; shown next to, never instead of, your Apple Watch VO2 max estimate
BUILT ON REAL SPORTS SCIENCE: training-impulse and acute:chronic workload methods, heart-rate-reserve zones, HRV baselining, and heart-rate-recovery research, instead of a black-box score.
PRIVATE BY DESIGN: reads from Apple Health, never writes anywhere else. No server, no login, and all calculations performed on-device.
FOR RUNNERS, CYCLISTS, AND EVERYDAY ATHLETES: built for recreational and endurance athletes who want to train smarter, not race-time prediction gimmicks or fake-precision scores.
